H.Roske & Associates LLP was founded in 2003. It is a full service firm with eight lawyers that advises companies from Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. The firm provides business-oriented and cost-effective services in the areas relevant to its clients’ operational business. These include company formation, M&A, product liability protection work, data protection issues, commercial contracts, intellectual property, corporate governance, visa & work permits, employment, and—if necessary—litigation and arbitration.

The firm originated from the former joint practice of Walter Conston Alexander & Green LLP in New York, which looked after German-speaking clients for many decades until it dissolved in 2000.

All services are rendered with a hands-on and praxis-oriented approach. The firm purposely tries to distinguish itself from other legal outfits by avoiding lengthy judicial memos and instead provides clear answers in an informal way via email. We aim to protect management and offer clear and short operational guidance. Unless an exception has been agreed upon, all work products are completed within three business days.

Fixed prices are offered for most work, and the lawyers’ hourly rates are in the lower third of comparable practices.

The firm’s clients are located all over the country, and carefully selected correspondence offices are available in most states outside of New York for the rare instances they are required.

H.Roske & Associates LLP is the firm most recommended for the North American market by the German American Trade Association (GATA) and the German-language chambers of trade, industry, and commerce. It also cooperates closely with the Federal Association of Young Entrepreneurs (Bund Junger Unternehmer – BJU), the Association of Independent Entrepreneurs (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Selbständiger Unternehmer – ASU), and the cantonal economic development agencies of the states and cantons. Due to their special expertise in the German-American field, its attorneys are regular speakers on U.S. topics on both sides of the Atlantic.
